The Princess's Lament is a storyboard work in which the reluctant princess reflects on why she no longer wishes to be a princess, and wants to be an adventurer instead. The scene begins in her room, but navigates to her witnessing the destruction her kingdom's wars brings on the land around her, which she is so in love with. She feels too young to be taking over an army and losing the beauty of nature in her life.
